Here are my Current Issues students video conferencing live with a high school in Kirov Russia. We have had about 10-12 such conferences this past year including several conferences with a high school in China. In addition to the Russians and Chinese, we conducted an online forum project with students in Turkey and have interested partners for next year from Greece, France, Nepal and Thailand.

Video Conference with China, April 22, 2009 Mouse over to see this video In this conference my students find out that that the Chinese get a 2 and a half hour lunch/nap break during the middle of the school day. We went on to get their opinion of the Taiwan issue, the change brought to China through the Olympics, the economic crisis, and Chinese perception of Obama.	Video Conference with Russia, February 12, 2009 Mouse over to see this video In this conference the Russians taught us some basic Russian phrases and we taught them some vocabulary pertaining to international relations. This set us up for the next conference to exchange our ideas about improving US-Russian relations.
